Privacy Policy — Gita Shlok

Effective date: 3 September 2026

Gita Shlok (“the app”) is published by IndiaFont (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the app handles. The short version: we collect no personal data ourselves; the only third party involved is Google AdMob, which serves the app’s banner ads.

Data we collect

None directly. The app has no accounts, no analytics, and no crash-reporting services. The complete Bhagavad Gita text is bundled inside the app and reading it requires no internet connection.

Advertising

The app shows small banner ads on its list screens, served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device information such as the advertising ID, IP address, and coarse ad-interaction data, as described in Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses ad data. We request non-personalised ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.

Data stored on your device only

To make the app work, some information is saved locally on your phone and never transmitted anywhere:

You can remove all of this at any time by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app.

Photos

If you add a photo/logo to your post signature, you pick it with the Android system photo picker; the app receives only the single image you choose and stores it locally. When you save a shloka post, the image is written to your gallery. The app never browses, uploads, or shares your photos.

Notifications

The daily shloka reminder is a local notification scheduled entirely on your device. No push-notification service is used.

Children

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If a future version ever changes what data the app handles (for example, if advertising is added), this policy will be updated first and the change will be noted in the app’s store listing.
